A Walk in the Tuileries Gardens...Paris ... Part Three....

The gardens stretch between Place de la Concorde for about a kilometre to Place du Carrousel ….
As you can see waterproofs were a must yet again but whilst we were in the gardens the rain did hold off for a while….
There are fountains and statues everywhere…
Not very comfortable on a wet September day but we walked in these gardens last time at the beginning of June and they were an absolute picture, some of the beds were at the in between stage but as you could see some were still colourful, I didn’t mind they were well worth another look and definitely a relief to have a bit of space away from the crowds, we enjoyed our walk , just a shame it was too wet to sit down and have a rest before heading back, our tootsies were aching, lol…….

Hywel it was such a relief to be in the fresh air as we had already spent three hours in the Louvre and it was stifling and absolutely packed, I know you expect them when visiting such places but after a while it does ones head in, lol....

All very French - isn't it surprising that styles are so different just across the channel? It isn't a bit how I pictured it. The statues are amazing, but I did like the three ducks, because the water looks so very real and wet- a great pic!

What a shame you didn't get the sunshine, Sue, but I bet you enjoyed it all the same. I've really enjoyed seeing all of this!

A very nice place to walk around, even in the rain :o)
I liked the fountains and the flower beds, and it didn't look crowded there at all. I think it's better like that ...
