Cats have fun..

Oh! Another Pip! MY Pip ( my avatar for today ) was killed 4 weeks ago today, MG, he was only a bairn ( just a year old )...I hope and pray for a longer life for yours.

Hi girls, I hoped these pix would cheer folk up - I know I needed it! Pip is now 6 or 7 years old, need to check her birth certificate, and lives the life of Riley... We have had siamese cats since 1980 and would not be without them not matter what damage they do.

What lovely cats really nice to see my three are all tucked up two in front of the fire and one in the cupboard.

Siamese cats are quite different to the other breeds, aren't they! Tell you what, though - Henry wouldn't care - he'd still chase them! LOL.

My grandmother bred cats. She loved them ! She died when I was very young. But I like to look at the photos of her with her cats.

Thanks Terra... They are such characters. My avatar isn't actually Pip but her sister Merry. who sadly did not survive her first year. I miss her dreadfully even now.

We do Hywel Pip is currently sprawled over Mr MB whilst her mum is behind our multi fuel stove. It is positioned in a corner and has old woolen sweaters for them to snooze on. I wouldn't be without our girls for a minute.

They are lovely ,mine like to play like that inside and out and yes its great to watch them..... Thanks Moongrower the other blog was very distressing to read especially to those of us who have pets ill and in some cases die recently........

Mother in law had a siamese years ago, loved shiny things and would steal things that took her fancy, had a secret hiding place inside base of bed, so if anything went missing you knew were to look :-)

Have to be fair to her and say she did not rip the cover open it was already frayed and she um... worked at it?

When we bought our first multi-fuel stove (many years ago now) the shop owner told us of an elderly lady living on the Black Isle who used to put her cat's wicker basket on top of her stove when she went to bed at night so the cat would stay warm. One night the basket went on fire, cat was fine having leapt out instantly the problem was the cat owner was very annoyed with Bonk (yes that is the name of the company) for not telling her she should not put cat basket on top of hot stove...

The throw pile of woolens behind our stove is the nearest we come to that :-)

Hywel our rather large potting shed has rafters and, obviously, we put things on these... Pip like to climb up and go to sleep up there even on the hottest day! Any time we wonder where she is we go in and call her and rattle things until she reappears.

Both of them know how to get onto the potting shed root without a problem - but if it is frosty some of their descents are a might comical.

Gorgeous cats MG...their colour is wonderful. Bet they are fun to watch.

Pip is currently plastered to my left side purring like a steam engine. Both the girls know id we are poorly or upset and lie beside or on us.
