What to do on a sunny day?

I woke up this morning to brilliant sunshine so a decision had to be made gardening or a day out?
I have been very busy of late as both my Husband and Mother have been ill and now my Husband is better and Mother is in respite care for a few weeks so what to do? gardening is a bit behind but I’m afraid the call of a little sea air won the day and off we drove to sunny Llandudno some 40 miles away
we arrived in time for elevenses, strolled along the promenade and found ourselves a seat to soak up the sunshine til lunch
Several schools were there for various topics two little girls approached us with a questionnaire they were really sweet who could refuse?
Then off for lunch followed by another stroll and more sitting and relaxing in the sunshine!
Batteries well and truly recharged we returned home and do you know the garden did not look quite so bad after all!
Some tidy – ish!

It does you good to get away for a few hours and it sounds like you deserved as fine a day as you had. Now you can do a bit of gardening with renewed vigour :~)

There`s nothing like a bit of sea air to recharge your batteries, and as you say everything looks good when you get home.

I liked your photos from Llandudno...a place I've visited on quite a few days out and for a couple of conferences. You had a beautiful day weatherwise too.
I hope your husband continues in better health. I know it's a few months since you wrote this blog and circumstances can change.
You have a very large garden to maintain (3/4 acre is a lot to deal with, and different levels too).

Aw thanks Whistonlass I'd forgotten about that trip it was a lovely day and yes circumstances do change - alas not always for the better, my poor garden has been neglected this year but I will do as Hywel does - a little at a time then it wont seem so bad!

It's nice to go for a trip out sometimes. I've only been to Llandudno once and it rained. Nice to see it in the sunshine.
Sorry to hear of your husband and mother. Being a carer can be stressful so you deserved a break :o)
