Bluebell Woods

The Bluebells near my home are looking as lovely as ever but I was rather concerned as there appeared to be markers throughout one section, fearing the worst I made enquiries but it seems they are just tree protectors
- rather spoiling the show this year but more shade for them in years to come I guess!
Walking closer they are as beautiful as ever
No need to have worried!
Hope you enjoyed my walk

Thank you Gee, it is worrying when big changes are made but as long as they are for the better in the long run it's fine :o)

Lovely photo's Neellan, and the Bluebells are so pretty..Glad you found out about the tree protectors..we had some behind our fence, when new saplings were planted..At least it stops any animals having a go at them..:o) xx

I love Bluebells there is something so graceful about them...:o) We went on a coach trip to London on Tuesday - You wouldn't believe the amount of Bluebells that I saw in woodlands adjacent to the motorway! It's just so amazing what you can see when you are sitting higher in the coach and you're able to take it easy... In other words letting the driver take the strain...!;o)

Thank you Tracey this wooded gem is just down the road from me but a lot to be said for letting another driver take the strain from time to time so you can enjoy the view! :o)

The Bluebells are always a lovely sight as are all our wild flowers, we have some in our garden, they were here when we moved in over40yrs ago, I've noticed this year that the flowers like all the rest are lasting longer....

So beautiful. - wouldn't it be great if we could smell them too?
They do survive without trees though - the island of Skomer is literally covered with them, and the only tree on it is one very stunted hawthorn.

Thank you Steragram, Skomer must look absolutely beautiful, nice to know they grow without trees too :o)

Beautiful photos, Neellan and I'm glad all is well for your woodland. I remember being concerned when all the trees were cut down in an area of our woods last year but the clearing has enabled lots of different wild flowers to flourish along with butterflies, etc.
