I just love this . . . what fabulous colour combinations! I'm trying to plan a new bed in partial shade, and think that evergreens would be just the thing. I'd be really grateful if you could ID for me the light green shrub to the right (next to a conifer), and the purple plants showing above and below.

I would be glad to sheilabub. The light green shrub is one of the few deciduous plants in this bed and it's Leycesteria formosa ‘Golden Lanterns’.The purple shrub behind it is also deciduous , it's 'Rosy Glow' Barberry. The purple one at the bottom is an evergreen called Loropetalum chinense rubrum. These will all do great in partial shade. Best of luck with your new project ! Merry Christmas .
