I don't know if it's fact or fiction, Sticki...but you get 'ginger toms' and 'tabby mums'...

I've never, ever seen a female ginger cat...

I did know a male cat, once, who was 'stripey', but I think that was because he was ferral...It was in Scotland and I think he was half Wildcat!

My Bubba has an odd habit. Rubs is wet feet on the patio door to make it squeek like sneakers on a gym floor. Only does it when it is a bad rain or a bad storm is coming. Sure gets our attention. He is the neighborhood weathercat. Friends call when the weather is forecasted to be bad and ask- WHERE IS BUBBA? If I say inside, they say UH-OH. better get to the store.

Baby Sunday clicks her nails on the door to be let in. You can tell who wants in without even looking.

Cats Do have wait staff.

BTW--- My Maine coon cat gave birth to four two girls, two boys. all striped tabbys. hardest kittens I ever had to housebreak.
