pussy willow replanted!

today myself and my good hubby who dug out the hole, planted my willow in the lawn,
decided to do this after it blew over and smashed my new pot. then planted a few pansies and a couple of cylemon around it, im very pleased and think it looks pretty in the lawn.

I think you did the right thing San , it looks very pretty I like the under planting a lovely splash of colour :o)

thankyou carole yes i agree, im glad i made to choice to do this, sometimes a lawn can look bare cant it, baz just thinks its harder to cut the grass now lol :o)

Looks good Sandra. I expect the birds will use it to sit in as the tree grows bigger.

thanx linda im sure your right, it wont get taller as its grafted so think it will just bush out more, its grown alot already since buying it in spring, love the catkins when they show, garden all tidy after two solid days of doing it but so glad i did, it looks lovely again. rain today so all housework here for me ;o)

I've been busy with the vacuum but have been painting again. I've been asked if I could paint some pictures for the local Archery club at the moment. Very interesting looking up all the equipment they use and the different sorts of arrows through the ages. Yes I've had a go at our flowerbeds and Gerry has dug out some of the perrenials and split them. I've planted pansies and wallflowers and still have room for a few more plants so may put in some primulas for the spring.

glad you got some of your garden done to, it makes us feel better seeing it nice doesnt it, like Gerry, baz has been a good help to this weekend, digging a hole and general help, dont we love em lol :o))

Your round bed looks lovely San. Hope your well. How’s the painting going? I must admit I have not been on the site much lately had my head in the study books I have just started a degree in Applied Plant biology. However, really must catch up here today.
