Thanks Slad , this is a special place we were to early to see them but it's where the rare Lily of the Valley grows and not just a few plants whole huge areas of them almost as many as the bluebells also over the other side of the wood there are masses of wild Garlic when it's in flower you can really smell the garlic ... I shall go back in another week or two to see them ..

This is how they should look. Just beautiful in masses in the wild.

They are such a beautiful blue, Amy - lovely picture :) Funny you should mention wild Garlic . . . yesterday I was pulling handfuls of it out of my optimistically-named wildflower meadow(!), and the smell was quite strong but pleasant (leaving a few out of the hundred, tho', as they are pretty when in flower).

Lovely .... You can see why the bluebell is excluded from britains favourite flower competions...it always used
to win !

Thanks Sticki - I should try that, I have so much of it!

i know we chopped it up, including flowers, i think lulu added parmesan, a little olive oil and only a few pine nuts and we chopped it finely, there is a photo on my blog and possibly stevie's or lulu's blog [the one where we met up]
it tasted SO healthy and fresh.

I have looked at the photos Sticki , maybe Lulu is like us when we play a recipe by ear , we get use to knowing how much to put in without even thinking about it ... ...

I'm sure lulu said it was different each time, cos I had trouble when I tried to make it myself the next day!
I have sent lulu a pm.
