I love these too Grandmage. Im definately going to plant a few more to bulk out the ones I already have for next year. Have you seen my blog on Sarah Ravens garden? She grows alot of this colour tulip together with some bright orange lily shaped ones called Ballerina - stunning!

oooh no Poppy, will have a look and thank you, I actually got the idea of growing them in pots from Carol Klein, hers looked incredible, I did put what i thought was apricot in with these but they were a wishy washy white I was so dissapointed until I saw these and anyway the others had finished so i dead headed them and was left with these stunners!

So beautiful Grandmage. They are queen of the night, day and everything.

11 May, 2012

your tulips are lovely. As a teenager I grew a Queen of the night tulip in a glass growing container for a bulb.

11 May, 2012

Camillia, you are so right.
Lindak, did it get really tall? My tulips are very tall and the wind is blowing them around so much at the mo.

11 May, 2012

Lovely contrast, I have a similar one, but your variety seems to be bolder looking, it's absolutely gorgeous!

11 May, 2012

Thank you Waheeda, they are called 'Queen of the night' I got them at our local garden centre and yes they are gorgeous arent they?

11 May, 2012

28 Jun, 2012
