Lovely :o)
Can you ID some of the trees please ?

Thank you N3 - yes, excellent forecast at last!
Thank you Sticki - I was out there earlier, cutting back plants, but am ready for a chair in the sun now :)
Thanks Terra . . . I can try . . . front LH tree is Amelanchier (the "stick" is a bird feeder); moving along the little diagonal scree bed, at the end is Prunus Serrula. Still moving diagonally, the little tree in the centre is Cercidiphyllum (sp?) Japonicum. Silver-leafed shrub behind the greenhouse is Eleagnus Quicksilver; trees at the back on the left are apple and greengage, then moving right apple, pear and cherry; big tree back centre is a plum, with a Holly behind, and to their right a silver birch (jacqumontii) and another apple. Hope you coped with all that :)

Thanks for your lovely comments Wildrose, Bloomer and Scottish!
Just looked at the local weather forecast (going to a garden lunch party today), and there's a sunny week ahead here . . . temps going up to 27 . . . phew :)

I suspect you're not wrong, Karen!! (Today I have been mostly sitting in the shade . . . )

Very tranquil Sheila...

Doesn't that look just perfect - England at its very best. That's when I miss it most. Here everything is brown and crispy - not many flowers and the trees are dying. Don't knock the rain - I know you've all had the most awful time this summer, but we are praying for the stuff here. No-one much is listening right now. Such a pretty, pretty garden, Sheila - enjoy it while the sun is out.

Thanks Sue!
Thanks Gattina for your lovely comments. We're certainly making the most of sitting out there, and having supper in the garden while we can (28 in the shade today). Hope you get some rain for your garden soon :))

Hi Sheila, in-describable, You and your Garden, set-up, stirred up such happy memories in my mind...Albeit I'm in so called Sunny South Africa! So the trees and garden plants, etc, may be different.....The Peaceful setting sure "grabbed' a strong desire to be able to sit there (all in the imagination, of course) Over a cup of tea, If that is not being too forward? And discuss our diverse climates, plants, shrubs, trees etc....I'm living in a hotel/come/ boarding, house, set-up...With an existing garden, and my hosts here, an adopted brother + Wife, have given me the care of the set-up! Hope to upload a few pictures sometime....We are situated in Kensington, a couple of centuries old, suburb of Johannesburg....With my next cup of tea, which should be soon! It shall be very calming imagining myself, by your leave, enjoying the cuppa, seated somewhere in your "paradise" Keep well Sheila, The Lord Bless, regards to you and family..Willi
