Miles ahead of mine TT - these crocus really highlight all the other yellows in your garden!

They are so cheerful, and the colour looks like sunshine!

I wish mine were, mine are very sorry looking at the moment.

TT my crocus just opened today full for the 1st time.

Lovely....my crocus have been in bloom some time now but they won't open..it's just so dull!!!!! sun came out for couple hours this afternoon but I wasn't here to look if they opened!!!!

Scattered some around my new garden when we moved last Sept. Some have come through, others are struggling.
Mine look no where near as nice as these though TT.

Do Crocus need a year or two to get established?

I've found that some bulbs do benefit from having a few years to become established...

Crocus bulbs do seem to be vulnerable at times ...

... in some gardens, the bulbs are susceptible to rodent damage ... and in other gardens, the crocus petals are attacked by small birds, such as sparrows ...

... so, being able to have a lovely display of crocus flowers is a rather unpredictable.. ;o)

I so love to see crocuses in the sunshine, they look as if they are soaking it all up! I would do the same if only it would make an appearance down here!!

The crocus have flowered surprisingly well this springtime. They were planted several years ago. :o)

Nice & bright TT. I have crocuses, but like Paul's they never open up, no sun.It's disappointing when they eventually die & you've never seen their centres. Still hoping.

Terra, that is such a lovely pic. Can I ask you though...how do you manage to get your winter jasmine that high?

Aren't Crocuses wonderful? :-)) They are the most cheerful & colourful bulbs of the springtime every year! I really look forward to mine every year at the end of February/beginning of March. They are out on the balcony with lots of different colours cheering us up after several weeks of cold, cloudy weather.

As I went down to the allotment yesterday afternoon I passed a garden whose owner has left his Crocuses "in situ" for many years & every year the display just looks better! This year is no exception & there are lots of Snowdrops as well.

We are still having winter here in Central Scotland. We were told we were getting snow this weekend then it was changed to rain but they were right first time. We had a flurry of snow which did not lie yesterday but we woke up to a winter wonderland this am. The council have been caught out because the roads have not been gritted. I hope it does not last.
