I have found a local-ish nursery that does the A.K. so hopefully my daughter will take me there in early July. All our busy-ness should be over by then, grandson will be in Mexico for 2 weeks building homes so that children and parents can live together. We have had 6 months of fund raising and I have attended so many events, from rock concerts to bingo, a Nepalese evening, as well as all the baking, etc that it has involved! Grandson went down with chickenpox (second time) a couple of weeks ago, right in the middle of taking his exams but is back on track now, thank goodness. Hope OH's eyes are recovering well. Enjoy your holiday, Amy :)

Golly Jill you must be exhausted , I'm sure the fundraising money was badly needed and has been well received well done to you all , I'd love to be in your house when you are baking :o)) your poor grandson ,that was bad luck ! I hope it he does well in his exams .. OH is much better thanks ,I'm still putting drops in his eyes each day , I took some cuttings off the A.K today but think it might be a little to early it remains to be seen , fingers crossed for them ☺
Thanks Sheila this is one of my fav parts of the garden ,it was designed to cut down on work like mowing lawns ect. you can't see them on this part but I have some massive flint stones some have fossils embedded in them ..
Linda the little purple flowers are the Thyme herb the low growing spreading one ,the Bees love it , I've grown a packet of seed this year and have about 3doz little plants growing in pots !

Lovely gravel area Amy. It's the lawn that makes a garden hard work...plants are easy...especially if you use a membrane under your gravel. and the bark clippings keep the weeds down a treat in my woodland border too. When people see my garden, they always ask say it must be really hard work, but it really isn't. if I didn't have so many pots to water and feed it would be a breeze...except for the lawn! Lol

Karen don't mention the pot watering, every year I say we won't have as many but I can't resist filling them to overflowing ,, Yes Ph I am pleased with it I have to be very careful not to plant to much in it ,the grasses take over when the flowers die down they look beautiful blowing in the wind in the autumn ... Thanks Carole I love all the different colours :o)

What a lovely lot of colour. I saw your Actinidia Kolomikta growing in a garden yesterday and decided it would be ideal to grow up my arched seat :)
