Oh Dd...take care and hoping you feel better soon.....playing with apps or browsing seed catalogues, enjoy a quiet time for recuperation, and what stunning flowers too!

Hope you won't get too frustrated waiting to do things in the garden (of course you will!) but at least this is a good time of year for 'rest'. Where would we be without our OHs looking after us?! Have fun reading all those catalogues, and take it easy. :))

Get well soon Dd2....

Hywel I would love to preserve these flowers, they are beautiful...

This is a good time to recuperate, Dotty ! You can sit in the warm with loads of seed catalogues planning your garden. I hope you will be feeling better soon.

Get Well Soon Angela - Lovely selection of flowers :) xxx
PS I've just read a comment from you about preserving these flowers! I've found that proteas last for ages - if you want to dry them, tie them together with string, and hang them upside down in the airing cupboard! They will go eventually go a brownish colour though... However, I dry lots of flowers this way!

The flowers are gorgeous.
I do hope that you will soon be well on the road to recovery.
It is a good time of year to be snug and cosy indoors.
x

I wish you a speedy recovery Dotty and it's nice to know that you received the proteas as they originate from my home country South Africa. The very best to you in 2014. Keep well.

Thanks Sixpence for your kind thoughts, Wildrose I am very thankful to have these three cold months to get fit....
Petal, so kind, regarding the Protea we do not have an airing cupboard?
Amy thanks, Peter is doing very well, homemade soup and Gees cheese loaf yesterday!
Simbad and Lindak thanks....
Rose have enjoyed catching up on gardening sites, and as you say looking at plant catalogues and ebay, such tempation though!! could spend a fortune...

Put those seed catalogues down now ... you know you won't be able to resist temptation! Whenever I see Proteas I think of Chelsea Flower show as there is often a fabulous display of them. Wishing you a speedy recovery ... let Peter watch all the sport he wants ... after he's done the chores of course!
15 Jan, 2014
Shirley how well you know me!! Peter is enjoying the tennis from Australia at the moment!
Thanks for your good wishes, just taking it easy for the time being.
15 Jan, 2014
Slow but steady ... take care :o)

Dd - That's such a shame not having an airing cupboard!:o((( If it was summertime I would suggest hanging them in the same fashion, but from a beam in the loft!! Not to worry though just enjoy them now as they are!
15 Jan, 2014
I will Petal, they are so unusual arn't they?
16 Jan, 2014
