Love them but they don't love me ,tried in green and dry they just disappear.
They grow close to the surface so could be squirrel.

A lovely patch of sunshine, Amy. My little patch has doubled in size, slowly but surely, I spotted 4 flowers yesterday when I dashed down the garden path between showers :)

They certainly do! I think I'll have to get some in the autumn. They are so cheerful! I remember the first time I ever saw them...I was thrilled to bits with them. But I've never grown them myself. But as I have trees in the grass here...the perfect opportunity for naturalising some under a tree! :)

Thanks Carole /Karen they are a must perfect for under trees / Treetop / Rose it's strange that you should say that several people were saying the same thing last year ,I don't know why that should happen it can't be the soil if you had them for several years perhaps it is as BjS suspects squirrels taking and storing them for the winter ! naughty little things :o( if you think about having some more it might be worth laying some chicken wire over them in the winter months ,I've never had that trouble , touch wood !

You could be right Amy, but it was such a big carpet of them, I doubt the squirrels could have taken them so quickly !
