Two weeks in the sun! Yipee!!!

We’re going back to Turkey again, same place, same hotel and we love it. I have been working so hard to get my field of dreams and hope I don’t return to a field of weeds!
You work like mad ( I won’t bore you again with all the jobs, as we all do it , don’t we! ) before you go and do it all again when you get back, but with us gardeners , there is probably more work when we get back! We won’t even mention washing and ironing! Oh to be a man! Sorry Hywel
Each time, I say to myself , is it worth it, It sure is!
I am lucky in the fact that I have a good gardening friend who comes in every day to check all the gardens (can’t get her to weed , though!) Feed the cats and bring the post in. Not to mention all the plants I’ve grown that she waters.

As this greenhouse doesn’t get alot of sun after the leaves appear on the beech trees, I always grow my tomatoes in the allotment greenhouse which is in full sun. I leave them in their pots and then very carefully take them one by one to the allotment. I dread to think how big they’re going to be by then!

I’ll leave you with pictures of two of our favourite Rhody’s , the larger one of the two hasn’t flowered much for years! It had been moved from two homes to here 13 years ago. That was one massive sulk! It was worth waiting for.

I hope the weather is kind to you and will be thinking about you all while I’m putting my sun tan cream on! Tehee!

Thanks all of you, I'm ready for a rest now! Its great to have a friend you can rely on to look after your plants without killing them! One of my other friends would have drowned them!

You have a good time Rose, after all the hard work I think you deserve it, my neighbours went last Friday and its always nice while they are away so fingers xx we get the sun to stay around for awhile, at least you know your plants are being cared for.....
