i have grass envy...lol but i did get the boys on the strimmer today so it is looking better..lol bet you cant wait to see Joe..happy times..:-)

lol sandra, im so glad Baz offered to get the grass into shape, hard work that first cut,
im very excited joe coming home and he is to even though he will be working back at the garden nursery here in our village, well hopefully, he doesnt see it as hard work, like me he loves plants and gardening.
but just having him here is enough for me sandra :o)) x

Well done San and Baz. Makes me feel tired thinking of what you have done, and it does look good. Mine isnt too bad at the moment, have spent the day potting on and pricking out, and cleaned the greenhouse out. I have a mouse visiting in there. I planted a few runner beans in pots in there yesterday and this morning there were several on top the pots all nibbled ! Grrr.... So I cleared the greenhouse out but there is no nest in there so it must be getting in somewhere.

Hi Cinders sounds like you have been busy to and sorry you have a visitor nibbling away your hard work, iots surprising where they get in, i could understand a shed but a greenhouse if no nest, very strange, good luck :o)

Some of them are so small San, they can get in the smallest gap. I've covered everything tonight.

i hope it works cinders, dont want all your seedlings eaten, you may have to set a trap, you can get traps that dont kill if your like me and soft haha

Pleased you`ve dispelled your blues San, not nice are they, I suffered a lot this year but soon worked them out of my system once I got back into the gardening mode.
I always think that first cut of the lawn completely alters the look of a garden and motivates one into sorting out the rest so good one Baz.
I wish you luck with your pond, I can remember digging ours out , luckily our son was still at home in those days so we all piled in and had a go, great fun though and ours was done in midsummer, boy it was hard work and hot, good job you don`t live around here because our hosepipe ban comes into force next week, imagine how many trips with a wateringcan, lol....

San, you've had a very productive day with Baz' help. The garden is looking so nice and tidy. You've got a big project on with a new pond...lovely to know Joe will be home to lend a hand and what a happy three weeks you will have with him home for a visit :)

We did our first cut of the grass yesterday...started doing the edges but more to do....busy spring in the garden for us all.

Pleased you are feeling perkier now. Was thinking of you this week as we had word about the Plant Fair (the same one we met at last year) being held today. No plans to go though...we have our daughter and family coming over as it was her birthday (and her 8 yr. old daughter's) yesterday. So I'm off to ice the cake and cupcakes I made for them...this putting the clocks forward has got me all out of sync...lol More daylight for us though, so no complaints.

Happy gardening...and enjoy Joe's visit...just around the corner now :) x

Hi Guys and thankyou all for you comments, been out again today but havent gone mad, this putting weight on seems to have slowed me down some what haha
anyway hopefully now im in garden mode i will shed a few pounds lol
Sea,, that would be great if you have some to spare, it will be great as the new pond has good shelves so my plants will look much better :o))
sue it more putting back soil and sand than digging this time with pond but still hard work getting it all level, then once the soil and sand in we then do the cobbles and stones, hope it looks ok.
Jacquie nice to see you back and glad you have started on the garden, bet you will see a big difference in growth of your plants this year, doesnt seem a year since we went to plant fair, how time flies, take care:o)) x
