sunny day in the garden. had some help...whoop whoop

today was a beautiful day in Pembrokeshire. i The sun shone all day and there was a calm sea breeze…..
after driving to town paying some bills i came home to a house full of teenagers with nothing to do and no way of escape..they have been travelling around the music festivals working all summer so i have missed them so much….
with the promise of a lift to see their favorite band on Sat. i had four ’willing conscripts…sorry volenteers….and on top of that my mam Val came out to help.
David strimmed the lane which is abouot two hundred yards long and no small task…..
Rosie who after spending so much time outside opted to avoid the sunshine and do some cleaning of bathrooms…
Sian a ‘friend’ of Davids painted my mums small tool shed.
and me Jack and mam Val tackled one of her corners…
we launched in with choppers and loppers….
i weeded under and around things. i found lots of primroses saifrage and brambles. there were lots of blackberrys in our way which we all enjoyed. unfortunately lots of verbena had to go as they blocked one of the paths. but im sure there will be more seedlings now its clear.
we are delighted with the result. this is a lovely spot in the morning as it faces east. Jack loved the shredder. he wanted more to shred so we then uncovered the rest of my mothers drive way which had been hiding under a senecio. once out on the lane which we share with niegbours the sun was starting to set so Jack had to stop feeding the machine…
this is looking left down the lane. we get tractors and things up and down most days .
then looking ahead to the sea.
then up the lane to the road. its a bumpy lane with drainage problems and tractors….
