Another christmas present.

Well as you know I bought some Trilliums for my present. They arrived and were suitably potted up on Saturday.
These are only two of the species bought. The others are grandiflorum and sessile.
Then yesterday we went for a drive to Hornsea and on the way back we called in at the Spring garden centre. Now that was a ‘mistake’ as they had a clearance area.
So yes I was drawn in to spending my hard earned cash. I was also conscious that a GoYer of note had some of these very plants.
Saxifraga ‘Black Ruby’
Variegated liriope and an un named fern. {unless any of you good people can enlighten me and save me trawling through my books}
A named variety of Stokesia, which I cant remember and as it is raining I wont be going out to check :o)
So 10 plants for under £30 and I paid full price for the Liriopes.
Am I a happy bunny? You Bet.

they are rhizomes amblealice. I am hoping the 'black ruby' will be hardy in east yorkshire. dont think i'll get them in the ground until the spring as i have to clear the dead wood/brambles and grass and other assorted weeds from where i want them to go.

Nice Pressy :)

at the moment they will have to stay in pots until the bed is sorted. I sort of know where i want them to go if i ever get the bed sorted. I need hubby to do some dead wood removal :o( dont like using the chainsaw.

Good bargains there, Sbg! I love my Saxifraga - Bamboo said it might be a bit fragile in the winter - so I'm keeping my eye on it! Just a word to the wise....xx
