plants going for silly prices.

I had to get some plants for work yesterday and apart from 2 african viloets at £2.99 each every other plant that took my fancy was reduced.
Having seen so many amaryllis on GoY I was tempted by 2, a semi double white called ‘Jewel’ and a red bicolour called ’exotic star.
Exotic star doesnt seem to have a flower bud as leaves are starting to show.
Jewel is well under way but I feel confident she will strengthen and grow straight
One of the other garden centres was selling pots of daffs for £1 and another had Cyclamen coum reduced from £1.99 to 99p so I bought 4 pots. They also had pots labelled as daff but they clearly are not. I got one for work ‘just to see’ what they are. I suspect they might be Chinodoxia.
I also picked up a dozen perenials at 50p each. Obviously with living in Yorkshire, its canny values, are rubbing off :o)
I hope to get a few more plants for work but wether I will get them at such good value is unlikely. Our local Lidl is closed for refurbishment.

~ have a look on the Eden project site ~some of their plants are 10% off and are good value anyway whilst being slightly different and like Kew all their sales help fund their research etc~

I can see you love a bargain as much as I do, well done on getting the plants that you wanted at a knock down price. I have lots of Cyclamen Coum and they have really spread and now they self-seeded around the garden. I think they have gorgeous foliage as well as pretty flowers. :o)
