Not exactly the picture of the year!!

We had a beautiful double rainbow over the field at the end of the garden, so I spent a couple of minutes gazing and smiling at it. Then I got down my old camera, unwrapped its battery, got the battery in, and ran outside. So a few minutes late, but this is the result . . . I wanted to share it with you, although not quite as good as you seeing it for real. :)) Hopefully, you can just make out a glimmer of the second rainbow to the right of the main one.
Now half-an-hour later, our builders have JUST finished installing the last window, and the hail is coming down with a vengeance!
I may not be chatting much soon, on here, as Oz family arrive next week, so getting ready for a jolly Christmas with our new granddaughter.
Hope you all have a very happy Christmas!

what strong colours, an excellent capture SB. My recent attempt at snapping the rainbow was a wash-out, so its a challenge now.
Your in for an extra special Xmas Sheila, plenty of time to catch-up in the new year.

Lovely photo. Aaaaah Sheila glad you are having the family to stay and that you will see the new little one too! Have a wonderful time, you will be exhausted come new year, still you can sit and relax til spring creeps over the windowsill!! I have all my family coming tomorrow I have been frantic all week, so our actual Christmas will be a quiet one. ssshhh. x

You are such lovely people . . . I'm welling up! Thank you Hywel, Bampy, Grandmage, Karen, Sheilar and Bloomer very much for your generous comments.
I shall be utterly content with little Chiara on my lap for days on end - letting the others take over the kitchen (well, it's worth a try).
Hope we get more rainbows, and that you take up the challenge Bampy! Have fun with your grandkids . . .
