A few pics for Janey

Hi,
Inspired by Janey’s wonderful art, (and her request to see some of my own), here are just a handful. Most of our pictures are still in storage, so this is a very short blog!
I loved having a go at watercolours, and went to classes for a few years, but stopped – except for a few cards – when I started doing garden design.
The last pic is a real indoor plant which I bought to replace a very sad Dracaena – but when this dies I shall hope to find one like DottyDaisy’s recent acquisition . . .
Harbour
Westonbirt Arboretum
Some old boat
Dendrobium ‘Apollon’
Apologies for my shaky hand when photographing the pics :)

Gosh, thanks very much Eirlys and Sue: it can be great fun if you have a good teacher:)

Wow! Sheila, they are really beautiful...the top one looks like one of Sydney's inlets...I love it! It is very restful, a peek through the trees and ferns, and gorgeous colours.
You have such a talent for landscape painting, trees are quite difficult to master Sheila, but you've certainly done that...the second painting is stunning! Xx

I am so envious of people who can paint etc. I can do a passable biological drawing but not art. My Oh can do both it is most annoying. :o)

Thanks Paul, what a lovely comment :)
Very kind Thorney, but (as I said!) the last one is real. It really would be amazing if I had done that :))

You're welcome. They remind me of when my grand parents used to take me to Oyster Bay - an old fishing village on the North Shore of Long Island. I remember the sail boats very well...and President Theodore Roosevelt's House, lol.
Is that your Dendrobium? It is stunning! Do you think I can grow one along side my Phalaenopsis? These plants are expensive and not easy to find.

I think the laugh is on me, Paul . . . I had no idea this is an orchid! It was among some house plants in a garden centre, a few weeks ago, and reduced from £20 to £9. Now I shall have to treat it much more carefully, lol :)

Well what can I say, agree with everyone Sheila, they really are lovely, I can't draw or paint but that doesn't stop me admiring other peoples work, when you are sorted you'll have to show us more....

lol sounds like a good deal to me Sheila. I've seen them listed for $80.00 a pop - but that's New York. Dare I ask how it's doing?
7 Feb, 2018
Paul, it's fine - that's because I've only had it for about two weeks! Don't worry, it will have plenty of TLC . . .
Thank you Lincs - you're very kind :)

I'm envious of so much talent. I tried painting for years but could only manage pastels and those with help. Your pictures are beautiful.

Thank you Sheila . . . I liked the idea of "rushes"(?) half in and half out of the painting, which was the teacher's idea!

Oh wow, Sheila! You must have been a grade A pupil at your Art classes.
That top image, in particular, is so restful.
