Welcome to Spring chez moi - finally!

I haven’t been able to upload photos for ages: not being a whizz on the computer, I cannot cope with techie puzzles. But today my OH found a way, so I took my camera for a walk when the sun was shining this morning.

With apologies for my prolonged absence, welcome to my first blog of the year, with the usual not-very-good photos :)

It was so lovely to be out in the sunshine . . . hope you’ve all had some too.

Looks like Spring arrived at your garden Sheila. I love your Hellebore and gotta get me some. You can ask me any techie questions you have. I'll be happy to help - if I can.

Good to have you back updating your garden! Lovely spring flowers Shirley! The prunus is looking full of blossom too!

They are all lovely photos Sheila. I am really fond of anemone blanda, such a pretty but tough little flower.
Not seeing much sunshine down here! When it does come out, it isn't for very long šŸ™!

Hi Sheila......good to see you back with some beautiful Spring garden photos......glad you have managed to sort out your photography problems.....

Many thanks Paul, Sue, Kate (Iā€™m not Shirley!), Chris and Angela . . . I really appreciate your kind comments šŸ™‚ .

I was wondering hat had happened to you! Blue Anemone blandas are high up on my list of favourites at this time of year - that's a very pretty cheerful little clump.
Jealous of your Kojo no mai - mine is just bare branches still.Must go out and say some encouraging things to it tomorrow!

Thanks Sue. Hope your encouraging words do the trick. This one in sunny front garden has been gradually blooming for ten days now, but my other - in pot in shade in the back garden - has barely begun.

Sorry Sheila! I was replying to several people including Shirley last night! :-))
Iā€™m not the best multi tasker šŸ˜

No worries, Kate - you're not the first to confuse us two!

I"m guilty, I regret it sorely, lol!

Enjoyed your nice cheerful blog. We get the odd day of sunshine, then the next day rain again. Still it's nice to see the spring flowers about. Lots of Camellias in this area, & the usual Fosythia.

Hi Sheila, pleased you've sorted your problem, I'm not very teccie minded either, wondered where you'd gone, lol, lovely to see spring colour has arrived in your garden....

Thank you Feverfew and Lincs . . . lovely time of year šŸ™‚.

How lovely to see you again Sheila! Its lovely to see your garden in Spring time, you have a real affinity with the season and it shows in your planting. I used to love your Spring border in your last garden. I always looked forward to seeing it. And I'm sure this new garden is just as joyous. Those anemones look lovely, as does your early Cherry. Like Stera, mine is very very behind. Doesn't that dark Hellebore look fabulous underneath that orange stemmed Cornus! A great combination. :)

Thank you so much Karen for your generous words. The dark Hellebore and Cornus were unplanned, but everything coming along is so cheering, and this season there is a new lovely sight every day. Hope you will get some warmth soon!

Thanks Thrupenny.

Sheila, firstly well done on uploading your photos! It's s satisfying when they're on isn't it? I have great envy over your gorgeous Anemones as they just do not thrive in my garden. It seems to be the year of the Hellebore right now ... such pretty flowers.

Iā€™m sorry about your Anemones Shirley - how frustrating for you. Yes, there are masses of gorgeous Hellebores around, and I love that they flower for so long. Thank you so much for your comments!
