Some heatwave survivors

Interesting to see which plants survive the extreme heat, and which can’t be bothered!
I’m delighted with these Verbena Endurance Blush …
…and Verbena Burgundy
Hydrangea petiolaris
Our beloved Copper Beech (dwarf)
Melica with Geranium Ann Folkard
Bonsai copper beech
Geranium Bill Wallis
I hope you are pleased with your survivors too, although they do need quite a bit to drink!

Oh dear, that’s sad Julia. We were hoping for rain but it bypassed us by a few miles … heard the thunder though.

I've just been out deadheading those that were half snapped...still nevermind there is always the 2nd flush.
Your Bill Wallis is so intense..lovely one.

Seems to me that all these plants loved the hot weather Sheila.
Love all your plants there. Your beech tree is forming beautifully and I am a great fan of verbenas, all kinds.

I love your verbena Sheila, its been very hot here also and a very bad storm last night, but my plants seem to be ok, I think I have just been lucky.

LOvely plants, Not really taken stock of what has /hasn't survived yet. We have also been away and though cool there has been no rain here either.

Thanks Sheila, I was trying to identify a little purple geranium I had neglected and low and behold your picture came up and presto! It’s Bill Wallis! Thanks.

We have had a day of thunder and lightning with heavy downpours.
The Roses and Peonies are battered which breaks my heart to see.
