A Winters Blogette

Well we were doing well down here after a chilly November and then a nice mild spell, the heating oil was doing well,
then bomph!
Me acer’s gone all white
L’arc blanc
A winters wonderland (with cable), GNuts was ok, snug in her box
Even the goats have gone in
Over by the veg pacth, a grey sky lingers
Can’t almost see the chicks
The polycave all tucked up
Sheltered seedings area
veg patch
Pond (gooseys ok btw)
veg patch the other way
Lest have a drive now the roads clear
Will it stay or will it go?

Looks lovely like that, as long as it doesnt outstay its welcome.

Your veg patch looking exceedingly tidy Stevie, they are beautiful scenes and would be perfect if only the roads could all stay as clear as that one..

Are you riding on the left, Steve? Why, for God´s sake?

Lovely pic's....particularly the one with trees either side of the road.Stunning!

Prettier than here....would rather it go away now...no one can get up our drive!

Kat, lol, we drive on the left here!!,
Could have gotten some better pics Paul but didn't want to stop

Katarina and I had a discussion the other day about driving on the left!
Do you know why we drive on the left but most of the rest of the world drives on the right?

ah i know this, Jousting knights

Very impressed!

and also where salutes come from as you had to lift your helmet visor to show you were friendly
20 Jan, 2013
I will admit though its difficult to keep the lance level out the fiesta window and salute at the same time

That's where the Enfield comes into its own!!!

Stunning!

Some other countries do drive on the left. Gibralter ?
Australia ?
I thought I would be scared cycling on the right in France, but soon got used to it. Got off and walked round all the big junctions, as couldnt adapt my brain to how approaching traffic would give way to others on the right, and the warning signs were in French. Ha ha.

Stevie? were you driving and taking pictures? hope you were doing no more than 5 mph, lol.
I got used to driving on the left side fairly quickly (coming from the right hand road driving country) but have to admit the roundabouts were causing bit of confusion for bit longer. Now it would be opposite - going to visit my country ;-)
P.S. lovely pictures - have to go out and take some:)

A mate drove the wrong way round a roundabout in Paris...once!!

Reminds me of that film national lampoons on vacation ~ dont they have a problem driving round Paris?

I braved our lane and drive this morning, very slowly. Got to Malmesbury to find they didn't have my favourite aloe juice in stock!! Still, managed to buy a few mats for the slippery kitchen floor!

well done you ~ you were brave ~ i went out walking ~ dont fancy driving in snow but in fact the main roads seem fine.

Made me chuckle. The folk clearing a path on their bit of pavement...chucking the ice back onto the road!

the woman opposite me drives me nuts ~ they never go out but the slightest sprinkling of snow and she has to clear her drive completely ~ stacking it all up by the road where it will cause nothing but trouble!

That last photo is gorgeous......it looks just like winter wonderland. Suprised to see the road so clear too.

Kasy, always have my camera taped to my head ; )
Lulu, necessary journeys ONLY (aloe juice!!)
Sticki, 'they never go out' lol
GM, they learnt there lesson when they didnt grit the roads last winter with floods of complaints
30 Jan, 2013
only to clear the drive i think!
30 Jan, 2013
and fags:(
30 Jan, 2013
not even fags!
30 Jan, 2013
flicking a bit of ash might help but it wont melt the whole drive ; )
31 Jan, 2013

Its as if you have a black and white film in your camera!
Lovely pictures ~ especially the trees and the stream.
