That's lovely Sticki . . . inspiring. Now I shall put my boots on and get out there!

Wonderful ST. So quite & peaceful, a world away from blocked motorways & snow ploughs.

Sticki I found your photos and commentry very calming and relaxing. These are one of the many types of scenes that makes the english countryside so beautiful.

Simply lovely.....

I was brought up among woodland like this and I used to think that the silence and stillness you get on a day like this is the woodland holding its breath. Maybe it is ......

I like that Oji..... a nice thought. I really love the silence, its one of natures mysteries.

I like to think all the little animals and birds are tucked up somewhere secret trying to keep warm. :))

Love the way snow makes everything peaceful.

wonderful set of photo's Sticki, i do love the snowy covered tree branches, i miss that in the park, it used to be quite enchanting walking in the snow with that soft glow from the snow...

Sticki, I love that silence you get after a fresh fall of snow. I had a walk in the country park this morning and there was snow and ice up there (4 miles from here) but nothing at home. As I drove home I reflected on how much I love the seasons in UK. I do wish winter were shorter here, but on days like today, it has so much to offer. Not long now until the spring comes along! :))

A lovely walk,Sticki..from the comfort of my chair..:o) I agree,the silence is such a different kind of quiet..if you know what I mean..I enjoy all the seasons..ok,not this one as much,but it serves a purpose sometimes,by giving the plants a blanket from ice..and water when it thaws..all part of wonderful nature :o)

I have woodland right on my doorstep - I will now await the snow to get out and take some pictures as good as these....who am I trying to kid!! My phone doesn't do decent pictures.

I have seen a muntjak in there once SL, not sure what else might have made that footprint?

We have lots more snow here in Gainsborough about 4 inches and I cannot see any of my garden boo hoo it is very cold it was nice to see such lovely pictures thank you Sticki.

You are welcome Olive, a lot of this has melted now, the roads are fine and there is only snow at ground level, none on the trees or bushes.

It worked I slept all night through!!!!!!!!!! lol :)

Still lots of snow on trees but it is beginning to melt a little,now the fog has descended on us.

some weather has good aspects but i cant think of one for fog ~ its not at all nice!!

Horrible and the oh has gone off to work and it has come down since he went out. It is never too bad in daylight but horrible in the dark. We came home last night and could see it hanging around but we got back in before it got bad.

Lovely blog Sticki. I think the most exciting thing about snow are the wild animal paw prints left for us to see where they have been and gone. (before 3 large naughty dogs trash them all!)

fascinating arent they!? i like watching minty when she goes outside ~ first thing she checks are the scents ~ who has been in my garden!!?

Millie is terrorizing the bird table as I type! Naughty puss.

i think minty is curled up somewhere sleeping!

i found minty by mistake ~ picked up the quilt ~ she must have been under it!!! she is outside now.

Simply wonderful Stickie especially when I'm looking at it sat near a warm fire having a cuppa !
