VICTORIAN FLOWER CART.

Our dear friend and neighbour Paul made me this Victorian Flower Cart for my 70th Birthday which isn`t until next month but I couldn`t wait to get it in the garden as soon as I new it was finished.
I thought I would give you a glimpse.
!
I am so pleased with how its turned out – he even made the wheels himself.
So today I popped out and bought,
1 of each Skimmia, Buxus, Osmanthus, Escallonia `Gold Ellen` and a heather. I will not be trundling round the streets to sell them, its a bit late anyway for selling posies.
They are only baby shrubs at the moment so I shall put them into a bit bigger pots and I shall plant them out next spring. If we have very hard frosts in the meantime I can pop them in the shed.
Sorry the photos have gone out of sequence – !ve done this blog three times and just can not get it right.grrrrrrrr.

Lovely feature Stroller.....and you have given it pride of place. What a nice neighbour you have. Great view from your french doors, something nice to look at all through the winter too. Is that a pyracantha halfway down the garden against the fence on the left? Have you seen Mossys cloud pruned specimen?? Garden looks really lovely, a credit to you.

Poppy, yes it is a Pyracantha and yes I have seen the one Mossy has trained but don`t know if I could do as well as him.

Its a little bit too late to wish you Happy Birthday Phyl , what a lovely kind and talented nieghbour making you that lovely Victorian flower Cart, I like your garden too , the paving paths and circle look great,so sensible to get rid of the lawn saves on such a lot of work, Like you we are of a similar age group and I keep looking at my lawn and thinking I should be putting in more hard surfaces to make life easier for the years to come;0)
