I've also promise the same to my OH, but the reply was 'huh, I know you too well'

I like the planting as well as the Heron, looks lovely in the sunshine :o)

He looks good Stroller, the whole area does, we are doing well here as regards the weather, I was told lots of small walks and keep up the exercises to ease the stiffness in my knee so have perfected the art of incorporating those with a few jobs outside, lol, I don't think we will ever stop our projects, its just that sometimes they are smaller and can be sorted without it seeming like a big deal to our other halves.......

He looks good Stroller nice planting to now if you'd like to swap for a real heron got one going free to a good home? grrrr, in fact one evening in the summer we had 2 fly up from our pond!!!!!! Don't think he's getting many if any fish as its not a pond he can wade in but he's a persistent little begger.

To all thanks for your comments. Simbad thats one offer I`ll turn down, good that they can`t get into your pond they are one aspect of the wildlife that we don`t welcome into our gARDENS.

Rose you have made such a lovely new garden but I know the feeling of wanting that bit more - for me it would be a wild flower meadow.
Hywel I did plant most of it but the fern and the sedum arrived courtesy of nature.
