Very interesting blog, TT and what a variety of wellie footwear! I steer clear of wearing wellies myself since I broke my ankle while wearing them - it was very painful when it was taken off! I wear garden clogs or a pair of old walking boots but I will certainly watch out for photo opportunities when I am out and about :)

I'm not into wellies...mainly cos they take too long to put on, and you've just struggled into them, gone outside and the phone rings and you've got to take them off again!

P.S. Actually, the real reason is....I've got chubby legs, and wellies don't do much for me at all, lol :))

Great blog Tt. Can't remember the last time I wore wellies, about 50 years ago probably! Like you, I'm usually out there in my slippers unless it's serious gardening , then it's beaten up old trainers. Would you like a pic of them or an updated one of the spotty welly planter when it gets it's new seasons finery?

Oh I am mortified! My smelly ole clogs, up there with the best of GoY footwear.....I'm so ashamed. Off to crawl under a stone now...(wink, wink, lol) Even the dog turns her nose up at them, and refuses to chew 'em....

Our Wellies have now been posted Terra!

Beryl can't walk much TT. She has very bad arthritis in her hips and is in a lot of pain often. Sometimes she can hardly walk at all. We don't go now like we used to.

The other day I was down her garden cutting back some shrubs and she was potting up some plants - - in her bedroom slippers... lol. I remarked about them and she said they were old and she didn't care :o)

You could get her some new ones for Christmas Hywel !!!

Hywel, i garden in some old Town and Country (brand) rigid plastic-y/rubber-y clogs !
Bought them in a garden centre near here a few years ago.
They're definately the most comfortable things.

Good on you TT collecting amassing all the wellie photos v funny.
I don't do wellies although I have some, reason being they generally have spiders lurking in them and I'm squeamish.

Photos of ANY footwear worn in the garden very welcome...

Oh dear, poor ol' Scotland. Not too much damage I hope to GOYers north of the border. I feel a little guilty as it's been a glorious Autumn day down here in the South East, but rain on it's way tonight.Joking apart, I sincerely hope the affected parts of Scotland don't get too much more!
