When the family has just gone!

It has been a hectic few days here as the family has been to stay!
They left for a holiday in France yesterday evening and I am a bit bemused today to say the least! It was so lovely to have them here but so hectic too.
I siezed a quiet moment on Monday to take some photos of the garden and today it is very pleasant to sit at the computer and ‘pop’ them on here!
Come with me and I promise that there will be no ‘little people’ to keep amused! All bubble solution has been used up or spilt and all toys have been put away!!! Most plants have survived the visit too!

The wisteria has been really beautiful this year and I thought it was going to be disappointing two weeks ago!

This rose is ’Prince’s Trust’ and grows on a south facing wall alongside honeysuckle.

I try to have a row of pots by the kitchen door all the year round and here are the summer ones.

The last few photos are of :
Clematis ‘Pixie’ which is grown in a wooden trough next to our small conservatory. It has a pretty, dainty flower.
A view of the pond from the conservatory.
A view of our gate from the conservatory.
A basket of geraniums placed in the conservatory.

That is all I had time for and guess what……..they are back again soon at the end of their holiday in France so you might not hear much more from me for a while!!!

Thanks for joining me.

All very pretty and "cottagey".The pots by the path are lovely. That view down to the gate looks so inviting!

It all looks beautiful Wildrose, and I do love the wisteria, in fact I`m quite envious I`ve had two, well three but one died. The Wisteria sinensis `Alba` since 2009 and Wisteria brachybotrys `showa beni` 2010 have been dutifully pruned and fed and not one flower between them ~ both bought from reputable nurseries. Ha well perhaps next year.

The wisteria makes me nostalgic; used to have one then it vanished. Have a white one in front garden which looked as if it was producing flowers for the first time but now, they too, have vanished!! Your garden is lovely, Wildrose and I'm sure your family is too. Will have all my 'children' back this weekend for Fathers Day and my birthday. I can't wait, tho' I will be exhausted afterwards!

Lovely photos, Chris! We are off to daughter and s-i-l on Weds - baby-sitting grandson while they decorate ex-flat for selling, and/or unpack after very recent move! Looking forward to it very much, but imagine we'll also enjoy the return a few days later! Happy days!!!

My wisteria (like my camellia) seem to be having a year off. Hope that's all it is...

BA, it seems to flower for about 3/4 weeks. Sorry for delay in reply but I haven't had much time to look at this site so I am going to get well and truly behind as the family arrive again tonight!!! Will catch up again one day soon!
