When pollination in daylilies happens, each single grain of pollen creates a seed resulting in each being genetically different and often looking different, Here are three siblings in a cross of (Dreamy Blue Eyes x Xylophone Jazz):
One of my favorites for passing on an Applique pattern is (Amber Rhum x Kazoo)
Another of my favorites is ‘Paradise City’
The one I named after my grandmother is blooming like crazy – ‘Mable Esther Stutz’
I am also looking forward to a Helconia opening soon. The buds are interesting this early:

I have selected the one I will be registering this year, but now I need to pick its name and then shrink the photo of it down to 5kb.

That is what they want. If you look on the American Daylily Society site, the photos are not very large.

Thanks for the explanation, Wylie. I suppose they get 1000s of photos submitted to them & if the files are big then that would slow down their servers.
