Early July flowers

My little patch of Justicia carnea, which you were able to identify for me, has really filled out. It is next to the only hydrangea I have.
Settling in after being finally put in the ground is Hibiscus El Capitolio ‘Bloody Mary’, an unusual double form of Hibiscus.
The Agapanthus are starting to open. These really need to be planted next to each other or the color differences are lost. So far a blue and a light purple have opened.
I am even getting a Cypella herbertii to flower.
But the main event is a Crinum ‘Stars and Stripes’. It needs full sun and moisture to do well. Just the buds before it opens are amazing.
And then they open into a spectacular display.

Looks amazing! Striking flowers too. You've posted a gorgeous selection here, very exotic looking and the colours are really lovely. They are all perfect blooms, but the last one stands out for me.

I am really pleased with the Crinum as it has grown 5 additional bulbs. Of course, the first thing I did this morning was to pollinate it with pollen from a light pink crinum that is also open, hoping for seeds.

I am trying to keep the Crinum watered and fed so that next year the offsets it has will flower. There are 5 bulbs in the clump.

I hope they do bulk up for you, Wylie!
