I'm back and its only the 11th January,

Hi everyone,
I am finally back as the hard drive in my computer had to be replaced, just thought i would tell you what has been happening since Christmas, I think it will make intresting reading for you all,
Came back from the South after Christmas and we both had streaming colds and dreadful coughs, then my computer decided to crash, then last week OH coukld not walk, he had achiles heel, so painful, he had to use my stick to get to the toilet, I had to venture to Morrisons by myself, damn trolley would not go the way I wanted it to and kept crashing, on Monday of this week OH decided to use the new veg slicer " Mandolin " he was given for Christmas, before I could shout you have not got the safety device on it it was to late, he had taken part of his thumb off, we still have not found that part of the thumb. to the Doctor and straight to A&E, they were pretty good an put us with the emergency Dr, unfortunately they could not stitch his thumb as the cut was to bad, came home with him at 8 that evening bandaged up and in a sling, tuesday I was going to the village, OH said he would come with me to get out, I went into Lidl he went up to the co-op, I came out of Lidl and looked at the back of the car, we drive a Saab so not cheap to repair, someone had hit the rear of the car, what a nightmare, then today I took him to the Dr, to have the dressings changed, nurse set it off bleeding again, we think its stopped now, god I hope so, came home and computer man phoned and said he had lost all my emails, and he was going to have to find them, anyway that is sorted, lunch time OH asked could he have some soup for his lunch, no problem says I, poured the soup into a pan and went for a bowl, he said what’s this, I said what,!! looked into the soup and there was something funny in it, I put my fingers in and pulled out a piece of blue plastic about 3″ × 2″ big enough to have choked him if he had got as far as eating the soup, that and the can are on their way back to Heinz with a strong letter, so you all thought that was the end of our saga, well its not, last week OH ordered a new oven, delivery for Friday, said they would phone Thursday evening to say what time they would deliver, no phone call, OH phoned them Friday and they said Oh yes its last delivery you will get it at 6 this evening, 9 o clock still no oven, OH phoned them, open till 10 and cancelled it, got aphone call ten minutes later to say they were still delivering, then later my mobile went and the chap said I am delivering your oven, no your not I said its cancelled, Saturday morning a director phones up full of apologies etc etc and asked would we reinstate it, I said No, but decided OH would have to go back on the internet and re order from another firm, so I said o.k. they said they would deliver between 10 and two on Monday, they were on the ball this time, it finally arrived Monday at half ten, well I think if you have had the patience to read this I think that is about it, taking the car tomorrow for OH nephew to repair it, by the way, I have missed you all,

Hi Yorkshire - sorry didn't mean to like your OH cut half his thumb off or you had colds or PC crashing or choking on soup - just good to hear from you - My Mum also did that!!!! Hope you're okay Yorkshire :))))))))))))))))))))))))))

OMG,Val..what a start to a New Year..!just one thing after another ,it seems..so sorry to read all this..Poor Ralph,he is in the wars,isn't he ? I do hope he is starting to feel better,and your car is fixed soon..I think I would scrub January out,and go straight to February..! Glad at least,you have got your oven,and computer is ok again..take care,and Russell sends his best wishes for a speedy recovery too..xxx
