Me too! Just what you want to see on a Feb. day when you're stuck in bed with a head cold and face ache! :)) Thanks Andrew. My fave has to be that fully double maroon one....that's stunning!

I didn't realise there were so many different varieties and what pretty flowers they have - that's another plant to go on my "wish" list. I shall need a bigger garden soon if I keep on seeing so many lovely plants on GOY !

I have had Hellebore in my garden for years, and never admired them I just took them for granted, I looked at your photos and thought how lovely so I took another look at mine - wow they are really nice and have been totally unappreciated until now. :-)

Cracking photos Andrew, did you have to lie on the ground to take them?

DD - not quite but the neighbours are quite used to my contortions when taking plant photos :-)

Thanks for showing us these pics, Hellebores are lovely and seem to be flowering very well this year, they obviously liked the cold weather!

These are lovely, Andrew ...
What treatment do you give your hellebores after flowering and throughout the summer / winter, please ?
Are yours planted in sun, shade or half and half ?

TT - all my hellebores get some shade, in fact some of them are in quite deep shade but get the sun early in the morning during the summer. In spring, the whole garden gets a feed of 6X (concentrated chicken manure) lightly forked in but I make sure the hellebores get a reasonable share; this generally happens as the flowers are going over. I cut the old leaves off just as the new blooms open in early spring but that's the only attention they get. They all have discreet metal supports to keep the leaves from sprawling about (you can see a leg of one in the photo of the the pure white flower)

They are so beautiful, particularly like the double white with splashes of burgundy.
