Cheer up Fran - its not a busy time for bird feeders just now. Usually we can't keep up with refilling ours but the peaunts are going down very slowly indeed. It should pick up in a while but the busy time is usually over the colder months. I have only seen two tits one chaffinch and a nuthatch today when normally there are about half a dozen tits going at it.

had some visitors early yesterday, at least three at one time, but by the time I'd got my camera, they'd pushed off. sat outside with binoculars and camera at the ready, but they must hae called it a day.

ah well, at least i know now that something's isiting
