The only trouble is there are no walls for Kirsty to pull down!!!! smashing photos Janey, we had one going in and out of our box today, he/she was in there for ages, too far to photo, not enough time to change the lens, will keep watching and hoping, good luck with yours.......

After I took these pics..I noticed little blobs of white on his beak and leaves. Under the roof was polystyrene insulation which he looks like he's been pecking.
I think Ian will have to go in and take it out...I don't want them to choke., only hope they're not disturbed too much....:o(

Lovely pictures Janey I think I would be dithering over which to choose such lovely bright colours. I have a cherry tree in front of my window with a bird box which has never been used since it was put up 3years ago. But Im so excited as for the last couple of weeks a pair of Blue Tits have been viewing it, the other morning a right comotion as a pair of Great Tits were also viewing and trying to chase the Blue Tits away, so will have to see who if any finally nest in it!

Wonderful photos! Please tell your blue tit friends if they have any friends that need a home I have 2 bird boxes going cheep! lol Ours have been in the garden about 4 yrs now and no tenants! Im thinking of putting a for sale sign up!!

I did read somewhere, ages ago, that the house has to face the right direction Great, unfortunately, I can't remember what the direction was, so I'm a big help. Maybe Janey knows???

Thanks Great.......I'll whisper in their ears, they could come to you for Winter...:o) Yes you're right Ba, I think they have to face North...so that the babies keep cool out of the sun when they hatch.....which way are yours facing Great?

Maybe also that when the fledge the sun isn't in their eyes, there could be predators about.

That's true Ron......they'll need all their wits about them........
