They were so friendly Bb and Skillen.....at first Jim said we shouldn't really feed them, but I couldn't resist with a grape, then he fetched the honey! They went bananas but were really gentle...we put some on our fingers and they stayed most of the afternoon on the rail there..............

Thanks Fp...they were a sight to behold, Jim says the pair are still coming back to visit each day. It was great to see them flying free into the palm trees instead of sitting in a cage........:o)

Hw, San and Jac I didn't know what they were till I googled them....no wonder they're called Rainbow Lorikeets...all those colours together then to watch them fly off into the trees and back again...Jim had to slide the doors too in the end as they were wanting to come inside...Lol!!

Yes, me too San. Jims partner Rosa...her Dad has a farm with fig trees and the figs were just beginning to ripen when a flock of Lorikeets decided to pay him a visit...in the end he made a huge aviary and netted them feeding them every day. After a couple of weeks he harvested the figs then set the birds free.....:o))
