Happy Yorkshire Day ..

Both my girls sent me a text at 6 and 6.30 respectively reminding me it was Yorkshire day. They are both Yorkshire and very very proud of their heritage. But I am a Mackum [born in Sunderland!] and Yorkshire via marriage.

What a lovely thing to do, and so early too ! We are proud of our Yorkshire Heritage,,and you will be just as proud of yours too. You have the best of both,Eileen :o)

Sheila ,I moved to Cumbria when I was young,so I lost my Yorkshire accent,but I soon regained it when we came back,22 years later Lol. x

'Alexa' reminded me it was Yorkshire Day yesterday and tried ( unsuccessfully) to say something in a Yorkshire accent!!!

We did,Janey,thank you.We didn't go anywhere,but I pottered most of the day in the garden. What could be better ? Lol ..Oh,and I am in the process of writing a blog and photo's ,so you will be able see how well your Dahlia seeds are doing ! :o) xx

I also miss Yorkshire, what fun we had on GOY. I swap jokes with Ralph most days he has the same wit as Val.
