I’ve missed you all. My old p.c. died and I couldn’t upload pics or anything but now got new laptop. A lot has happened in the last three years. My lovely husband Derek had to go into a care home. He died in November My little four legged family became 4, but that’s a long story which i will tell you in another blog. Most of these pics were taken April/May. The foxgloves are amazing this year, sadly almost finished, soon to be overtaken by musk mallows.
With the coming of spring, I started to feel the call of the garden. Hope you like the pics:)

Wow, the meconopsis makes a spectacular close-up!
Do you collect seed from the foxgloves or let them spread on their own? It's my first year growing them

Thank you all for your lovely welcome, I used to look in from time to time and have noticed some missing friends, including Pamg. I hope she is ok? I often would spend time laughing at all we got up to in blogs to help pass the winter. It's good to be back and who knows what adventures await:-):-)

A big HELLO June, I`m all full up seeing your beautiful garden again, its looking so mature and well tended and hopefully has been a means of comfort after your sad goodbye to Derek. You`ve had a better result from your foxgloves than I`ve had from my scattering of old seed, anyway hope we shall be seeing more of your garden as the months go on. Hearing from you again has encouraged me to make an attempt to do a blog not easy at the moment going thru a tough a bad patch with the Meniere`s at the moment can`t find my balance ... hic! not drunk honest.

Hi Phyllis, didn't know you had menieres, is there anything they can do to treat it? Do you have tinnitus with it?
9 Jul, 2019
Hi Phyllis hope you feel better soon, nice to see you, wow yes don't know why I didn't see the pink fence, lovely BA :-))

I had a mad idea to make a little pink garden room on my little circle patio, got pink solar string lights down there too. I've become very sophisticated in my absence lol:))))

I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your husband and maybe you will find solace in your garden which is lovely. I love your little sitting area and your foxgloves are amazing! Nice to see you back here again, but I am not on here much at the moment due to my husbands health problems, but do like to pop in now and again.
12 Jul, 2019
I have seen your new garden Rose, lovely, like me you are head gardener, let's hope it keeps us fit, I have my doubts though:)
13 Jul, 2019
Yes BA, Betahistamine tablets for the Menieres but other than that no other treatment these do help but some days are better than others and of course the tinnitus is a constant thing. Love the idea of your little pink garden room, just the right place for a sophisticated lady to sip her champagne.
18 Jul, 2019
Yes, wot a pity you aint sophisticated like wot I am, otherwise you would be very welcome to share a bottle with me:)
18 Jul, 2019
Hello Ba, like you I come and go, but everyone is very welcoming...we all are a lovely gardening family..:))
I'm so sorry to hear of your husband and hope keeping busy in the garden and making plans does help a little.. X

Thanks Janey, fed up with my garden at the moment .... things have to go>:-[ One minute I decide to concentrate mainly on shrubs (less work) then I see some beautiful perennials ...... always loved perennials, but some have to go. Also my deutzia strawberry fields is for the chop, pretty for a couple of weeks then boring , not pretty green leaves, I've decided to be ruthless! Maybe grow some hardy annuals too:-)
4 Sep, 2019
I know what you mean, mine needs a really good chop, too many tall plants is my problem, they are going. As you say for the few weeks they put on a show, the rest isn't worth it. Also my roses are not good, especially New Dawn, I think she's too old now! Oh yes, I remember deutzia isn't the prettiest shrub for most of the year.....:((
10 Sep, 2019
Your New Dawn is now Old Dawn ....know how she feels:-))
