I don’t have a very special camera, but have tried a few close ups this morning. Sun not shining today, in fact we have had rain this morning, a nice steady rain, so it will do a lot of good. See what you think of the pictures. Thanks for looking.
Weigelia
Euphorbia Ascot
Viola Elaine Quinn
Clematis Arctic Queen
Streptocarpus Jana. A new one to me.

Thanks Carole. I agree the Euphorbia is lovely. I moved it last autumn as it was in the wrong place really, so I was really pleased when it took on again so well. I only grew it from a very small slip. Think I shall have to try some more. The Clematis has done really well too.
Thanks Annella.

7 Jun, 2013
Thanks you Surreylad, its great isn't it.
Paul it is a low growing Sedum Spathulifolium Purpurea. Quite a mouthful for a small plant !

Beautiful photos, who needs a fancy camera!
7 Jun, 2013
Thanks Louisa, I agree, its good enough for me.

Thanks Cinders!

Excellent photos ... and I see what you mean about Clematis 'Arctic Queen' looking similar to C. 'Guernsey Cream' ... :o)

If you continue to take pics like these "you will go to the ball"
(as the official picture taker).
ANYONE LOST A SLIPPER,,,,?
Great pictures.

Beautiful pictures! If this is what you can do without a fancy camera, just think what you could do if you had one!
7 Jun, 2013
Shirley I wondered if you would think that about Arctic Queen. It has so many flowers on it at the moment but they have climbed so high I can't get a decent picture.
Dungy --- Oooh yes, I lost my slipper . Have you found one ? Thanks for the funny comments.

All lovely Cinderella :o)

I love my camera but to be truthful its wasted on me really as I don't know what half the settings even mean, I play with it sometimes just to see what happens, trouble is I then forget which setting I used anyway, the beauties of digital means one can erase the rubbish.
They are lovely photo's Cinders, my favs have to be the violas, I love their happy smiling faces and theres so many to choose from....

Lovely photos Cinders, our Euphorbia Ascot Rainbow has had a bit of a chop back this year, it was getting very untidy, still a big favourite of mine though....
7 Jun, 2013
Thanks Neellan.
Lincs I know what you mean, I do the same with mine. I know the macro setting, and bringing the picture closer etc, but as for anything else ....... I also have a soft spot for the viola's, have just sown some more seed for the autumn.
DD thanks. I think I might chop my euphorbia back this year, now that it has got established in its new home. You do have to be tough with some of these plants and show them whose boss. When is your open day ?

Great close ups, Cinders, I love to see the detail of photos like these. That euphorbia is lovely, on my wish list but goodness knows where I would put it :)
8 Jun, 2013
Lovely photos Cinders, especially like the euphorbia and sedum
8 Jun, 2013
Thank you Gee. You need quite a bit of space for a euphorbia, as it can get rather a large clump.
Thank you Dirtyred. The sedum is a very bright yellow isn't it.

Lovely pics, I like to do close up pics of the flowers...well done on yours :))

Thanks Holly, I have just been out trying to do a few more close ups as the light is quite good at the moment and without sun. Will have to see if they are good enough to put on here.
9 Jun, 2013
Oh naughty Cinders ............ I want them all especially the euphorbia and the low growing sedium, you`ve shown them off to perfection.
9 Jun, 2013

stunning photos Cinders. simple cameras are often the best as they are not overly complicated.
cant decide which one I like the best. they are all wonderful.
13 Jun, 2013
You must just have a gift, Cinders; your photos are great. That euphorbia is a beauty. I also like the sedum and viola.
13 Jun, 2013
