Wow! Your garden looks great, Dawn. Mine took a bit of a bash yesterday. I would also saw autumn is taking hold now.

Thanks Linda, yes so windy, signs of autumn with lots of fallen leaves too.

Hi Dawn, you've some gorgeous early autumn beauties there, I love the Rose Marjorie Fair, so many blooms, really lovely.. Is the tangutica Korean Beauty? I pulled out most of mine, mid summer, as it was everywhere, but it's come back, little lanterns flowering on top of the trellis...:))

Hi Janey, I hope you're well. Thank you, it could be Korean Beauty as I had that and C tanguica, similar, it does travel, I pull it up too but those roots are tough and go deep don't they.

They certainly do. It's quite a thug really, mine must be 10 years old now. I'm very well thank you Dawn, hope you are too, and haven't had the torrential flooding rain we have had here today!

Recovered well from that heat, you wouldn't know looking at them now, they look gorgeous.

How lovely Dawn. I particularly enjoyed your planting combinations. You create some wonderful contrasts. :)

What a lovely blog! Could the fuchsia be Genii do you think? Lots of lovely leaf colours there as well as flowers - and I'd forgotten all about Chinese Lanterns - aren't they cheerful?

Love your unusual Pittosporum . . well, I love them all really. You are a true plantswoman Dawn!

Everything is delightful and is looking 'at its best.'
Here the wind and the rain are probably spoiling most things!

So much interest, Autumn is a lovely season.
Your Fuchsia is indeed Genii, it's beautiful.
Is your Caryopteris in the ground Dawn ? I have one in a pot but it isn't very good and I was wondering if it would do better in the ground.

Sorry to hear about the bad weather your gardens have endured.
Yes Hywel the Caryopteris is in the ground. Like autumn too along with spring. Thanks for Genii confirmation (Hywel, Serra) I like it a lot.
Sheila, haha I do my best, thanks.
Janey, yes itโs Korean Beauty and itโs rampant haha.
Awww Karen, kind of you.
Thanks everyone for looking.

Dawn, I went looking for a Perovskia yesterday, but the GC was sold out so I bought my first ever Caryopteris, inspired by yours! My OH planted it this morning - just before the rain came - and Iโm well chuffed:)

Thanks, I'll plant mine out somewhere then :)

What a wonderful riot of colour so many for Autumn your gardens is looking great a reward for the damage of summer.

The garden is still looking colourful Dawn, it has recovered well from the hot summer...we have several Caryopteris and not one of them looks as healthy as yours, not sure whats wrong with them......
22 Sep, 2018
Thanks 3d. My caryopteris don't have any attention at all Dotty.
22 Sep, 2018
Lovely looking garden, Dawn! I loved all your roses especially! ๐๐

What is the 3rd photo from the bottom?
23 Sep, 2018
Thanks Balcony, 3d. Sheila, I'm pleased you have a Caryopteris, it's is yellow leaves or green, I have both, really nice.
Wylie, I think it's a type of hesperanthus, not sure how I acquired that one, Dotty do you know what it is?
23 Sep, 2018
Mine has got yellow leaves Dawn - a really nice contrast to the surrounding greens and purples.
24 Sep, 2018
Nice I prefer that one

Good to see so much colour in a garden.
