Enjoy it while you can. Maybe make an indoor display before the frost arrives. I have my own troubles with a huge storm barreling up the coast targeting my back yard this weekend.

Hi Seaburn, I hope you were toastie last night, the temp is certainly dropping, I didn’t realise the frost brought on the red, every cloud.
Thanks Brian.
Keep safe Bathgate in the storm. Yes good idea, I think I’ll cut my alstroemeria flowers and bring them indoors.
On another note, is it too early to cut off the hellebore leaves? Thanks

I was a cold bunny but so was he so it serves hime right for not checking. I slept in my cardie, he didn't take a jumper coz he is 'tuff'. the moon was brilliant and hardly any cloud cover so lots of stars in this dark sky area. beautiful sunrise too.
I tend to take my hellebore leaves off when the flowers are about 2-3 inches off the ground Dawn.

Lovely to see so much colour in your garden still, Dawn! Unfortunately winter it seems is coming earlier this year!

Hi Dawn I've chosen a lovely Cercis Forest Pansy it's a nice big well shaped tree to start with the nursery has put it to one side for me and has asked if I would wait a couple more weeks and that by that time they should have some nice bare rooted trees in costing slightly less I have my eyes on a white trunk silver birch I can't decide on a third at the moment I might get another liquid amber ,they've given me a list of all the trees they stock I'm going through them all on Google ..I'm excited to be getting back into things .. x

Hi, everyone.
Thank you. I never really left. Always think of you all. It is just that I became impatient trying to upload pictures on here, most of the time the size had to be reduced. But, funnily enough, I uploaded 3 pictures this morning, they were successful. If it carries on, I might come back often. 😊

there was a time when photos could be 5mb then it went down to 3mb but 5mb seems to be ok now. or was it just me not reading info correctly?

I always download my photos into 'Photoshop' before posting. There you can do everything: re-size, crop, color correct, zoom in or out, rotate, add a nice trim, change format. Such a joy to use that program. Essential for anyone into photography.

I also use photoshop to resize them. its a wonderful program.

Amy, white stemmed birch a favourite of mine, it’s great having you back into gardening. I take all my photos now with my iphone so quick and easy and never have to reduce the size.
