It was lovely to meet Eileen, this morning, albeit the weather had changed so rapidly for us from yesterday!
I enjoyed the tour around her front and back garden, as she has mentioned before, lots of native plants are growing happily for her! We sipped a couple of warm coffees and had a good natter, I definitely learned a lot from this learned lady! ( I hope I remember it all )
She has an abundance of spring bulbs flowering in all different, pretty colours. Ample plants displaying many shades of lush green and with attractive leaf shapes too.
She has a whole team of blackbirds nesting, lots of pairs trying to seek attention for mealworms..and Eileen has the biggest tub of mealworms!
She has a lovely big pond, filled with fish, surrounded by more colourful potted flowers.
I didn’t come away empty handed! Lots of plants to get planting out tomorrow – I’m very excited indeed!
Thanks again to Eileen for inviting me over to enjoy her lovely gardens and lovely company,…oh, and to learn much from her too! ☺️🌸🪴☕️

How fantastic to be close enough to meet up. I'm sure you both had an interesting discussion with lots to talk about. It must be pleasant to meet someone 'new' but be instantly comfortable with them.
The photos are well up to standard. Looks like you'll have fun finding homes for them all!

I know what you mean, Julia. It would be so very lovely...
Thank you for your message..
I will have to wrap up warm today! It’s pretty cold out there. Xx

Its even colder here today than yesterday Kate.
Spending it in the greenhouse trying to tidy up plants and discard those cuttings that didn't take.
Its our 38th Wedding Anniversary today and thinking back to the weather, rain first thing: sun on the way to the church. Thunder during the bit 'any one know of any reason...' The vicar said he'd ignore Him, much to everyone's amusement. Came out to sun for the photos and then 4 hrs later after the reception we came out to 2" of snow! And more to the point he remembered with out the girls telling him!

Great that you were able to meet up. Lovely photos of Sbg's garden. What is the name of the plant with the lovely foliage, 4th pic down?
6 Apr, 2021
It is Anemone nemerosa Viridiflora. The smaller 'pompom' bit at the tips of the stems are the flowers that have reverted to all green. Totally sterile as a consequence.
