Only a minor difference from last year then lol. Some beautiful flowers out there and some lovely photos to show them off.

Most of my violas are still in flower, but thats about it I think. Last time I was out it looked like my hyacinths were starting to poke their heads out of the soil though :)

Thankyou all, been a wee bit busy as most of you will know, we had dads funeral yesterday, it was a lovely service, then afterwards we had a big family party to celebrate his life, thats what we did for mum, a happy/sad day but dad requested we be pleased for him in his letter.
On the way to Marholm in one of the villages there were lots of daffodils growing in a grassy bank on the roadside, lots of them were actually flowering in yesterdays sunshine, a sight that pleased me as you can imagine....

isnt it great to have our gardens without all that snow this year sue, at least we know we wont lose anything if this continues to be mild ;o))

Sorry for your loss, Lincslass, until now I hadn't realized. :-((

Difficult to believe you are seeing Daffs in December! But then I was commenting on a post to Spritz about a Petunia in flower I have been seeing in a garden this week! I had to stop & look closer to make sure it wasn't some other flower but, no, it was a white Petunia without any doubt!

Thankyou Balcony, I did have a blog but took it off before Xmas Eve. Its been so mild over the holidays, trouble is everywhere is damp with it and would you believe we are all getting colds...You just can`t win, lol...

Tell me about colds! I caught 2 in the space of a month! The first one when my wife & I went to London on Remembrance Sunday & the 2nd a couple of weeks later. That was probably my fault for working on the allotment, digging in the last of the horse manure. My feet & hands got far too cold & I paid for it a few days later!

It's been very mild here for the most part as well. We have had a lot of rain, at least it seems that way after a very, very dry year! The Environment Agency declared an Official Drought was in progress in East Anglia, in August I think, but would you believe it the very next day we had more rain than we'd had since about March! They declared a 2nd drought in December & would you believe it, yes, it rained again the very next day!!! Only this time the rain continued almost daily for the whole of December!!! The driest days were precisely around Christmas.
