Its that time of the year again, houseworks on hold except of course preparing food and keeping up with washing, lol…Who cares about the dust when my lawns needed cutting and the g’houses are calling me..
First I had to pop out for more compost via a very pleasurable trip to the local nursery with my daughter, I was very good and only purchased two new lavenders and one very pretty rockery plant, all bought from the £1 tunnel….
Lawns finished then its into the g’house to pot on some more seedlings, I must have spent a couple of hours doing them…
The top g’house……
Dahlias, Phlox, Sunflowers( thankyou Shirley) I had twice that amount this morning but always share with my daughter so some have already gone round the corner…a few Sweetpeas most are already in the garden, I need to make another wigwam and a space..
Cucumbers..
Toms, Gardeners Delight.
Peppers..
More toms.
Nemesia.
Herb Pot.
Fuschia, trailing Begonia basket with Verbena, you can just see the base of the bigger basket planted up to match, the two hang together so think it will look attractive when in bloom..
Mothers Day gift, my Camellia, I pop it outside during the daytime…
I also have Petunias ,Marigolds, Love Lies Bleeding, Honesty and Zinnias in here, so plenty more yet to come..
The bottom G’house, not yet reached the jiggery pokery stage between both houses but that will come…
Geraniums.
Alpines, only tiny but they have actually doubled in size in the last two weeks..
Succulents, a bargain off the web, only £7.99 for the lot.
These are special, sent from a very kind Goyer…
Acers outside now..
Hostas..
Llillies..
Ollie joining in, he better not be squatting on a plant.
Evidence that Brynner is in pruning mode, I’ll scrag him when I catch him…
Just look at that face, he’s in complete denial and swears he hasn’t broken any shrubs at all, no energy for chasing him so this time we’ll forgive him, lol, I popped the twig in the garden, you never know it might take…..

Just love it all, the way you are so organised puts me to shame. lol. I am off outside this morning to plant beetroots, brussels and leeks. Everything else has been planted, made a new bed yesterday for some blackberry plants to climb and meander over a chicken shed. Today I am going to tidy up another spot and see if I can get my little green greenhouse back together in readiness for a new cover for it.
Now Tomorrow is another day, I am being taken to Dobbies at Chesterfield for an outing. Guess whose basket will be full to the brim with plants well hopefully it will.
Enjoy yourself again today, its great to have a good excuse to leave the housework for yet another day. lol. and as for that dog, Brynner that is the cutest face I have seen for a long time, butter just would not melt! Lovely blog again Lincslass, enjoyed it very much. :O)

Wow, Lincs, you have been busy, very rewarding! Love the wallflowers (penultimate pic?).

Garden looks fantastic! And the green house left me green with envy. You have been very busy. Looks like your seedlings are way more developed than any of mine, wonder if that's because of the greenhouse you use (I'm stuck with a windowsill at home) or if you'd sown the seeds early?
And even though his face looks innocent, the tail tell me he's up to no good LOL! Bless him, he's a fine looking chap!

Signs of promise in every pot!
It all looks so organised and methodical and I think you have done so well to get to this stage so quickly.
Well done, time for a cuppa methinks and a feeling of satisfaction that you are way ahead of the rest of us!!!
:-)))
Am I jealous....of course I am!

My goodness you have been busy so may seeds and plants [I thought I had planted a lot this year , but you have beaten me by a mile] and all looks so healthy, just wait until all those seedlings start to flower, you will have to put some more pictures on to show us, well Done!!

That's all looking great Lincslass. You have been working really hard in the greenhouse. I must admit, I'm feeling just a tad envious...hope to get mine before too long. But next year mine will be a bit like yours...I hope! Love the planters that you have hanging from the roof in there! :)

Thankyou all, I'm not really organised, I just prefer working out there rather than anything else, lol, every year I tell myself not to go over the top but you can see the result, however the majority are all flowerseed saved from last year so the perlite and compost is the only cost..
Still need to paint the doors in the kitchen so now the dogs can be outside during the day I haven't really got an excuse to put it off any longer, do you think I ought to knuckle down and do them or wait for a rainy day ????
15 Apr, 2014
or wait for two rainy days lol :O) I am the same who wants to be inside when the days are as lovely as they have been this week, well here they have been, cold though after the sun has gone down. :O)

Thats right Olive, I feel better now lol, its been really good here but it does go very cold in the evenings, hubby told me there was a frost when he got up this morning and he had to clear his windscreen, mind you it had gone before I got up, he's one for rising at Silly 0'clock time....
15 Apr, 2014
We had a heavy frost this morning. The bird bath was frozen over with fairly thick ice. But today has been lovely. Getting cool now....
15 Apr, 2014
...we did have our lunch on the patio, which was wonderful. Food tastes so much better outdoors!
15 Apr, 2014
Lincs, where do you find the time?? You have so much going on. I am very impressed. As for the painting, definitely wait for a rainy day! Love Ollie and Brynner.

I think Organised is your middle name Lincs. How could you possibly blame Brynner ;)
Plenty of colour too. All looking great!

I love those orange tulips and primulas. Your colour combinations are spot on. How do you get the plants to be so compliant with your wishes. It must be because you are growing from seed and your organising skills come through to the plants. Lol. I hope the weather stays fine for us all to play catch up.

Scotsgran that is the result of a very dry bed whereby nothing seemed to grow for years lf planted properly, the Viburnam and the Hibiscus take all the moisture out of the ground so a couple of years ago I popped my primulas, tulips and anything else that was homeless into the space and hoped for the best, left to their own devices, the primulas are seeding all over the place and I have moved some and the tulips are multiplying as well, needless to say apart from doing the odd bit of weeding I just leave well alone... Its gone really cold and cloudy today so have retreated indoors....

Every thing in your garden and greenhouses is looking fabulous Lincs ,I'm trying something called cucamelons this year I'm not sure what to expect ! will they taste like Cucumbers or Melons ?
17 Apr, 2014
Oh Lincs, you put me to shame! Everything is looking so far ahead in your GH, I have barely sown any seeds yet and only bought Tomato plants and Growbags today - better late than never! :o)
17 Apr, 2014
Good luck with your cuttings and seeds Sue. Your garden is pretty this spring :)
20 Apr, 2014
Never heard of them Amy, you'll have to keep us posted, I have popped some melon seeds in but never tried them before so have no idea as to whether they will grow...
Hi Shirley, did you see my sunflowers, all from the seeds you sent to me and my Bowles Mauve is doing marvellously...
20 Apr, 2014
Hello Hywel, its good to see you and thankyou, hope alls well with you and of course not forgetting the lovely Bella, you have been missed you know, I was wondering if you were busy with your pottery, cannot believe how quickly the weeks are flying past, I swear someone is pinching seconds off our minutes, lol..
20 Apr, 2014
No not been busy Sue, just feeling unable to concentrate, but getting back to myself now :) Thank you.
Hope you are all right too :)
20 Apr, 2014
I'm fine thanks Hywel, had a bad few weeks during winter, for two pins I could have fought with the devil or even my own shadow cept I couldn't find it, lol, I'm best left alone when feeling like that, eventually worked myself out of the blues once back in the greenhouses, I reckon there is some truth in that lack of sunshine syndrome.
Pleased you are feeling better as well, we are a right ole pair aren't we, both need to hibernate....
21 Apr, 2014
I hope we get some more sunshine for you Sue :)
Winter is definitely hibernation time lol ...
22 Apr, 2014
Yes Sue, I saw the Sunflowers - so pleased they germinated for you - and good to know the Bowles Mauve is thriving. I cut lots off the one at Mums yesterday as she said it's too big for her garden! I finally got the Tomato plants in the Growbags and made up four wall baskets - just some seeds to sow now and the weekend weather forecast is for rain so I shall be in the GH for some time .......
24 Apr, 2014
I told myself NO baskets this year Shirley except my ornamental birdcage ones, then today I promptly went out and planted up two.
My youngest has her eye on the Bowles Mauve already,
I 've promised her one for next year, I have a plantpot full of little seedlings all from your plant, so you see Shirley its moving on already, lol....
24 Apr, 2014
Brilliant - no chance of gardening today as it has been raining since a thunderstorm at 5 am ... :o(
25 Apr, 2014
Its been drizzling here all day so its housework and Goy day here as well, I'm excelling myself indoors , lol...
25 Apr, 2014
Steady on! .......
