Fun in the Snowy Garden and Getting Dressed for the Santa Fun Run...

Sunday morning we awakened to a white blanket , Harriet was ecstatic, she will be 1yr old on Christmas Day so obviously her first experience of snow.
As you can see it did not take her long to ruin the look, I didn’t get there first with my camera this year…
Brynner was not impressed and flatly refused to venture any further.
Then it was time to get ready for her first charity walk,
the Santa Fun Run in Burghley Park.both my daughter and Harriet donned their Santa outfits and braved the cold and snow..
I think they looked Bobby Dazzlers Santa Style…
Upon returning home minus her stripey socks, Harriet was delighted to pose wearing her mummy’s Santa Medal and showing off her Christmas Stocking, full of goodies to eat at Christmas, she came in the top five in the best dressed dog parade and received a special toy which she was allowed to have as her reward for being a good girl and helping to raise some money for local charities.
Well done to two brave girls…..

Love the Santas, and well done on the charity walk ! :)
I'm with Brynner on snow ... dreadful stuff, cold depressing and dangerous, and definitely not pretty. Stay indoors Brynner !
We only have a light dusting on the hill tops here, and that's where it can stay lol :D

I agree with you, Hywel! Though perhaps I'm not quite as outspoken! ?

Thank you all, they did enjoy themselves, the snow was welcome on the day but enough is enough, now wish it would disappear, rained on top and then froze, its turned to very icy patches, think I've already said that I don't bounce anymore, had to hold onto the washing line to get down to the birdfeeders and thaw the birdbaths this morning...

That dog is worthy of Youtube clip, he looks so cute... well done all of you... that looks like a fair amount of snow too. We even got 2 or 3 inches here in West London, and right into the centre of London - snow in Regents Park on Sunday, and the water in the fountains in Trafalgar Square was just like glass Monday morning, solid ice...
It's all a bit early, this cold and snow, the first official day of winter isn't till 21st (or maybe 22nd) of December...

Bamboo its flipping colder without the snow, keeps raining and then freezing at nights so very dicey if one has to venture out, I would love to see those fountains frozen over and the parks must look amazing in the snow, don't come to London in the winter time though if I can help it,saying that I'd love to visit Kew winter/ early springtime, been summer and autumn, its my aim to do the other seasons if I can talk a nice person to drive me there.....

Thanks Bloomer, they did well, I was proud of Sherryl for doing it as the cold plays havoc with her arthritis as you can imagine. glad you were able to travel safely, we had a fair bit of snow , it hung around quite a few days despite it raining as well, yet just 15mile up the A1 and it was clear, our grandaughter is at Birmingham Uni, those roads were horrendous, luckily her dad picked her up on the Friday night, was already snowing there but they did miss the worst of it.
We live in a weird and wonderful country Bloomer, cannot remember an autumn like it s regards the garden, I still have some roses and even some flowers out, nicotiana, penstemons, osteospurmums and helianthemums, would you believe even the poached egg plants, they just keep fighting back,I popped the bulbs in amongst them so anything goes come springtime,
lol....
