We DID have bright skies, Paul, but they have gone again, and now it's very grey and misty and snowing again. We called her that, Pippa because she is (or rather, WAS) the colour of cooked cream. She's got a bit more ginger now she's full grown. She is one of our prettiest cats, Carole, but almost totally unapproachable, and with a bit of a nasty temper, too! Butter wouldn't melt, would it?

just having a giggle ST, when I lived in the Italian mountains we certainly got alot of neve !! a heck of a lot of neve in fact! I loved it.

oooh just noticed winterwatch is on tonight BBC2 but now we have a program on polar bears ~ hope there are none in my garden ~ does panacotta ever resemble a baby polar bear?

Just beautiful Gattina! Pannacotta looks in her element there, she is gorgeous!

She is actually really p****d off, 'cos she HATES getting her paws cold and wet.
Sticki, she doesn't really look like a mini polar bear, but one of her nephews does, which is why he got called Brumas: his brother is called Snowball. (I saw that programme before the reception failed.) These two were brought in as tiny rescue kittens, abandoned by mum, starving and close to death, I fed them using a tiny feeding bottle so they are very tame, and they are now both lying on old sweaters next to the radiator, trying to look harmless and insignificant so I shan't notice them and throw them out into the snow.

We have no idea how our three white cats manage to keep themselves so incredibly neat and clean and dapper - Pannacotta always looks immaculate, despite being almost completely wild. She never comes inside the house, but has laid claim to an old duvet which we put up on shelves down in the cellar for the "wildies".

arent they amazing ~ i cant even keep my dark coloured jumpers and aprons clean!

Nor can I, mostly because the white cats leave hair all over them!

lol, she's got a "why are my servants keeping me waiting?" expression - and that look in her eyes doesn't bode well ...

She does tend always to have an expression of hauteur on her aristocratic face - we should have called her "Miss Snooty!"

Thank you, Spenny! It's not looking quite so picturesque at the moment - there's freezing fog and rain, rain, rain. Never mind; it can't last forever. (Can it?)
