Hi Guys.
firstly im feeling alot better today, no pain and tummy gone down alot but being carefull what i eat as not to set it off again.
Been in the garden today pottering really enjoying the sun as im back in work tomorrow.
Did a bit of weeding and sunbathing, isnt it hard work lying about lol.
I was happy to see my peony bud had opened before i go away as its just one flower and iv waited about 4 years for it to flower, it wasnt a double but single and white, still lovely and hope for more next year now its started.
i was ready to pull it up this year if nothing happened, maybe it knew and thought it better shape itself haha
Also it seems the plants are getting ahead of themselves with all this sunny weather we are having, it was 78f today in my garden at midday, thats not spring its summer but lovely.
hope we dont get this all to soon and autumn in july again :o(
so heres a few pics firstly my beautifull peony and then a few snaps of other plants at the moment,
hope you all had a great day to

this last photo is of some bluebells i have for the first time this year, they were kindly given to me by a client who i have known since i was 16 and an apprentice, she gave me them last year and sadly she died a few weeks ago after being in hospital for the last 4 months, she was a lovely lady, so friendly and caring, so when my bluebells came through and now open i think about mrs gregory, rest in peace we all miss you

Glad to hear you're feeling better, I didn't know you suffered from ibs, I do too and it's an absolute curse, I'll pm you now with the name of a capsule that helps with that sensitivity and bloating you get in your stomach and bowel after an attack, it helps heal up the lining, so it doesn't all cramp up so tightly, and leave you in a ball on the floor! I see you're as avid a fan of heucheras as I am! Is that Giorgia Peach at the front of your raised bed in the
5th pic down? I'm not so good with the peachy coloured ones, I think it's in just too sunny a spot, I'll have to move it! Yours is glorious!

27 Apr, 2011

thanx Libet yes its giorgia peach and i have another pinky peach one to, these are in mostly shade till teatime so ideal and daker ones further along but all seem happy.
your right about IBS its defernatly a curse, will try the capsules thankyou, infact i will try anything as the meds take ages to work.after an attack i feel bruised and beaten Libet and the swelling takes a few days to calm down after a bad one, hope your ok and enjoying your lovely garden and sunshine ;o))

27 Apr, 2011

Glad you are feeling better San, lovely flowers and Heucheras, love the aquilegia too.

27 Apr, 2011

I think you're right San, about the wee peachy heuchera, I'll move it tomorrow, it's starting to look really huffy!! I don't think it's a sun worshipper! I'll put it somewhere nice and dappled, maybe it'll cheer up! I've sent you those capsules name, I really hope they help, I know what you mean about that bruised feeling, just like you've been mown down by a double decker bus!! Take care!

27 Apr, 2011

thankyou cinders, i love the aqualigia its so pretty in pink :o))

Great blog Sanbaz, I'm so glad your feeling better today. What a lot of pretty plants. The Peony is lovely, I got one last year and have never seen a flower either. I thought the flower on mine was red, then I read the label again it's white. The foliage has stayed a beautiful burgundy colour.. hope it stays that way for the flower which would be a nice combination! Sorry to hear about the lady who died, as you say you'll always think of her when the bluebells bloom, which is a lovely reminder of someone you thought a great deal of!

PS Enjoy your holidays! x

28 Apr, 2011

Pleased you're feeling better San, those photos are lovely....I love the Aquilegia there. You Peony sounds just like mine....I think I got it off Ebay about 3 years ago, and have only had a couple of leaves, but a nice bud this year....don't know what colour it is, it'll be a surprise!
Have a lovely holiday. X

Hope you are better now. Your pics. are lovely .I have the same aquilegie in lilac as you. It grows so tall i have to stake it. I also had a rhody that refused to flower and hadnt since we moved here 12 years ago. That was a long sulk. It had moved twice in its lifetime. We didnt want to give up on it as it was still healthy so i went up to it one day last year and touched and said in a very stern voice ,next year is your last chance or your out, and it did ,in abundance. It does make you think doesnt it!

30 Apr, 2011

thanx rose im ok now. the aqualigia in the pic is a dwarf one so wont get any taller than this but i have taller ones also.shame about your rhody and glad the firm talking did the trick lol starnge how talking to them makes a difference
