the cactus are realy showing off at the min..
i love the one above it had big pink double flowers..
these opuntia are the latest rescue cactus brought to me by a customer who wants his conservatory back..they are in amazing condition..
many of you know i share a house with my 74 year old mam Val. she’s a bit under the weather at the min so i took her on a guided tour of the fruit in our garden, with the aid of my camera…
her big tree fern is looking good but the small one is doing nothing….
on a brighter note….after taking these pics i picked a pound of blackcurrents..they have been cooked and eaten already….. now mam is planning her jam making so i think she might be on the up again..:-)
couldnt resist this last pic….:-)

Stunning cacti Sand. Hywel needs to see these. can't believe you have so much fruit, doing so well. My apples are like yours, the blueberries are still tiny, but I did pick just a little under 7lb of Redcurrants on Saturday, before the birds ate any more. :o))

Your cacti are looking lovely Sandra. They are the most amazing plants I know because we sell them at our garden centre and I never tire of looking at them. Do you grow other succulents as well?

thanks Rbt. i'm so enjoying them this year. after the winter we had some were looking so sad. its great to see them up and at it again..:-)
me too Sandra. get to know a few more each year. succulents are my favorites. the flowers are usualy not as great as the cacti but the foliage is so great.

I've made jam, twice this week with my redcurrants. They are lovely, but a bit sharp if they're not properly ripe.

Lovely cacti ! I've never really tried to grow any but when i eventually get my greenhouse after looking at your pictures i may give it a try.. What is the tree Fern? I have Dicksonia antarctica which i didn't protect in the winter and i think maybe only here in body now. I've hung on to it just in case it might have a year off or something lol..Any ideas on whether i should throw it on the compost bin or wait a little longer?
You must have a very large garden with a veg patch that big.. Your garden path picture is lovely too..
