building tunnels in my tunnel...

Most of my babies are inside the tunnel now for the winter and are loving life.
they are fine in there for now, but as the temps drop they will need more protection. This year I have decided to create tunnels in the tunnel using scaffold poles water pipe and willow… and when the weather turns I will be able to cover each tunnel in plastic.
Each year I have been struggling with wooden ones but they are old and heavy. I am delighted this idea seems to be working.
I am going to build three separate tunnels the first one is for my aeoniums. the second is for all my cuttings and the third will be full of all my other babies.
with three separate spaces it’s easier to control the watering and if necessary I can put extra layers on the cuttings. Hopefully i will have finished them by the weekend…

Ha ha....at least you had some to start with. Don't feel like I'm ever going to have any again, at the moment!

Now that looks a lot easier to cope with than what you've used in the past, well done Sandra....

Gosh you are so ingenious Sandra -what will you do now you've used up all those scaffolding poles?

I love it when I can do things without asking for help Lincs..this way is so much easier...
Strera I was thinking the same thing...we have had the scaffold poles about ten years. I think we are finally running out of them.

You are so clever at utilising available items, wish I had your sort of brain. Such a clever idea. They should survive anything the weather slings at you. Good luck with them all. :O)
