as you can see we use all sorts of materials as long as there free or cheep…
these pipes were built at a festival by my kids and there friends i supplied the plants.
this tyre circle took a battering in the january frosts. a lot of it needs replanting.

Love your tyres,
We have a furniture set made out of tyres that we got at a craft fair - they are the best bits of garden furniture we have had.

Fantastic!! I love the bottle wall too. My friends live on a very very dry hill here in Kamloops....full of sagebrush and cactus. They got a HUGE tire from a large tractor and turned it into a large planter. It's the only garden they have as they have to truck in water and the soil is so bad, but it looks great.

thanks Clarice...
Gilli i'd love a big tractor tyre i saw some on the telly ten foot across...now that would make a great garden pot...you'll have to photograph your friends one.

Well done Sandra, you put me to shame, I did make plantesr out of an whole tyres, they lasted years, and quite easy to do. You need the whole tyre including the middle bit, cut the tyre just below the middle and turn both ends outwards, the shorter end is the part that is the base, the larger is for the soil and plants.
